Frequently asked questions

How do you track pageviews?

A pageview is counted only when a visitor loads a page containing our comment widget. If a visitor lands on a page without comments, it does not count toward your monthly limit.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan later?

Yes. Upgrades apply after PayPal confirms payment. Downgrades take effect when your current month ends. Paid months do not auto-renew.

What happens if I exceed my pageview limit?

When you hit your monthly pageview cap, new comments are paused until the next billing cycle or you upgrade. Existing threads stay readable. If you are consistently near the limit, we will help you pick a plan that fits.

Do you offer refunds?

Paid plans include a 14-day money-back guarantee. Request a refund from Billing (or Contact → Refund request) within 14 days of payment. Our team reviews eligibility before approving.

Can I self-host Threadline?

Yes. The core software is open-source under the Apache 2.0 license. Advanced management tools, automated hosting, and premium support are only available on managed cloud plans.

How does billing work?

Pro ($12) and Publisher ($39) are prepaid months via PayPal — one month of access, no auto-renew. Upgrade starts a new PayPal checkout. When the month ends you return to Free unless you buy another month.

What payment methods do you accept?

PayPal (cards and PayPal balance), plus invoice/ACH for Enterprise Media.
